Our Sectors of Production The services that BAFACH renders to its production sectors.– Capacity building in production, market research and marketing– Organizes input supply to members.– Organizes group marketing– Develops agricultural business plan to members– Manages the input capitalization fund– Carries out technical follow up in members farms once a month BEE SECTOR This sector builds, sustainable livelihoods, through the keeping , harvesting, sale of honey and its by products, water friendly and bee attracting trees like croton species, acacia species etc. these apiaries are located around spring heads and stream catchments which are important zones of biodiversity and deserve conservation. These zones also serve as habitats for some endanger species of birds like Banamatorako The youths make up above 80% of this sector.The use of I.C.T is very common in this sector especially with the advent of globalization. Pict: Building of a Bee Hive. VEGETABLES SECTOR About 70% of this sector is made up of youths. It is the highest sector that organizes input supply to its members and carries out group marketing. It has a guaranteed market around the University of Bamenda. There is also input capitalization in this sector and a high use of ICT for the smooth functioning of the sector. ANIMAL HOUSBANDRY There is practice of integrated farming here, where the dunk from the pigs is used as manure to grow cereals that is in turn used as food for the pigs. POULTRY SECTOR This sector is dominated by woman and they supply poultry manure from birds dropings to the garden sector.
